Owner
Michael Lynn, owner of North Star Networks, has worked in IT with more than two decades of experience going back before the turn of the century. As the Directory of Technology at the largest private school in Lexington, he raised the bar of classroom instruction by placing SMARTboards in every classroom when it was still uncommon to have one SMARTboard in a school. He worked hand-in-hand with teachers to improve classroom instruction and provide the tools they needed to help students learn in the 21st century.
In 2016, he ventured into managed IT services with two IT engineers in a joint business venture. He built and maintained the infrastructure for managing endpoints, deploying and managing firewalls, and providing security and top shelf IT support for many small and medium sized businesses. As the lead engineer, he was responsible for resolving the most difficult and complicated issues from their customer base and managing a high quality service desk team.
Now venturing on his own to provide the same high quality support and top-level expertise, North Star Networks has the knowledge to bring real peace of mind for business owners in Central Kentucky who rely on technology in their business.
He lives in central Kentucky with his wife and three sons. His family attends Union City Christian Church where he oversees the media and technology as a deacon. He is the committee chair of BSA Troop and Cubscout Pack 401. His oldest son is an Eagle Scout and his two younger sons are active in the Troop and actively working on their Eagle Scout achievement. He enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time with the family.
